the plan

"what are you going to do after graduation?"

is a question that have often been directed at me by nosey school mates and neighbourhood aunties alike. i'm not graduating till 3 semesters later! *why keep asking me?*

no, i don't want to join my Dad's business anytime soon.
i see no reason why i should go into business coz my Dad is in one. what's the logic behind?
i'm not interested in the China market, as booming as it seems.
it can explode and experience a consumer revolution for all i care...
China business people are very shrewd and cunning, they will try to 'eat' you left right center. 'chew' your business and funds until there's no bones left, 'suck' out your bone marrow.
yes... many success stories but that's the 3 victors out of 10 ventures...

me? dreams of being an air-stewdardess for established airlines.
work smart enough, get promoted to senior inflight manager or customer service after being cabin crew for 4-5years.

i was in the shower a while ago and i thought of other career opportunities.

1) be a wedding planner!

people do need to get married (minus Michele, myself and some others from this list!)
no matter how lousy the economy is, people still get married, but maybe on a budget.
they need to hold engagement parties, church weddings, grand dinners or wedding lunches.
they need gowns and tuxedos. they need lotsa organization and preparation help.

cater to this demand! how exciting!
don't need to be confined in an office, work 9am-5pm. be your own boss.
satisfy your customers. make them happy, and you'll be happy.
make their wedding free of worries and disasters! or would i be the one destroying it? hmmm...

weddings lunches at Botanic Garden for invited friends. garden wedding!
pink Volkswagon Beetle wedding car with purple tulips and white satin ribbons!
al fresco Italian styled wedding dinner by the beach. or even at Bintan Resort! pool side cocktails!
sumptous grand wedding dinner at Sheraton Towers. nice! plus siler-white invitation cards!

2) do a funeral arranger.

sad to say, people do pass away everyday. cannot help it.
why should funerals be solemn affairs? the dead should depart to heaven in style!
funerals should be held in themes of their favourite color, they should be dressed in their Sunday's best. why serve peanuts at funerals? can serve mixed cocktail nuts, green peas and prawn crackers. why curry chicken? how about devil's curry or something more subtle but nice, like century egg porridge complete with dried scallops and chicken shreds.

hmmm.... that's why i think. businesses that always make money =)
